I must share this one with you all.
If your boiler suffers from repeated cycles of ignition, flame detection failure, re-ignition, flame detection failure etc leading to the continuous red LED after 5 or so cycles try this..
...REMOVE the flame detection electrode and CLEAN it with sandpaper.
It has worked a treat for me on two occasions. The boiler then lights every time, even when it is 'hot'. No re-tries. No explosions.
