Since last weekend (easter) I have had problems with my CH not coming on when it should. I'm not sure if the high winds we're having would have any effect on my system? It only seems to stop working in bad weather! The pilot is on but there isn't the usual rushing sound coming from the fire when it kicks in.

Lighting the fire briefly and then turning it off seems to kick start the system again? any idea why this would be happening? I won't be touching it myself but I would like info so that if I have to call ina pro I have an idea of what needs doing.

well your stumped then

if the power is on and the timer/stat etc are calling for heat

the fire will have to come out to check the boiler and thats a corgi job

The fire front has a seperate power supply (if any) and a seperate gas valve, so should not affect the BBU at all. I think it must be coincidence.

I would think your RGI will look at the gas valve first.
