my combi has an intermittent problem in that sometimes it only gives warm 'hot' water. Could it be the domestic hot water temperature sensor?

yes it could be the domestic hot water sensor. it could also be a whole list of other things. give us a more detailed explanation including boiler make and model.

Mr Ben - obvious early question- does heat seem to be going to the rads when the hot tap is turned on? Feel the big pipes coming from the boiler.

Hi Chris R,
No water going to rads when hot tap on. Pipe from boiler is just luke warm, hot water is hot this time (the problem is intermittent)!
