Hot Water/central heating fault. central heating constantly on even when switched to hot water only. also the analogue timer is not working. Boiler will stay on in all 3 positions. the boiler was working fine till last week it over heated twice and I manual reset it .then this fault accrued please help me! my house is cooking..

Sounds like the time switch has gone closed circuit. Is it a built in timer with the little pins all around it?

If it is you need to disconnect the link to establish the fault. If this proves to be the problem a new grasslin clock should be readily avalible at a merchant near you.

turning HW control to 0 no difference boiler still fires for 2 sec shuts down and fires shuts down and so on turn CH control to 0 still the same
 
Ah - not timer fault then if you turn ch temp right down to lowest setting and boiler is already hot.

Something else is creating a demand - maybe micro switch on divertor gone to closed circuit? maybe divertor stuck in the dhw mode?

if ya look to the left hand side of the boiler ya will see a round brass valve with two small pipes going to it, the microswitch is attached to the front. with no taps running the pin shouldn't be pressing on the switch
