Hi, I moved into my house a few months back but with the weather fine had no need to use the heating and now its getting colder I tried putting it on but it doesnt seem to work.
No error codes displayed.
Pressures fine.
I topped the gas up (payg)
I turned the boiler off and back on again and it sounded like it fired up for a moment then shut off.
I've adjusted the thermostat but I dont hear a click.
I've adjusted the radiators settings to make sure they're on.
I've read it might be the valves so I'll take a picture and post.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have 2 young children.

If you don’t hear a click, this could well be it, but not all thermostats click, so do as Ian suggests and post a photo so we can help you pinpoint your fault.

Thank you for the replys.
I just photographed everything associated, I also included a photo of some damage to the underneath of the room thermostat I noticed when I moved in...not sure if that could of caused a issue as I dont know how it happened

I think the “damage” is just the wall not being plastered/filled correctly. Have you set the thermostat to maximum?

When you move the heating dial on the boiler does the temperature go up and down on the digital display ? As your on a card meter chances are that the boiler has been reset so many times that the control knob has broken and some has switched it with the heating dial
But as Ian has said if you don’t hear a click from the thermostat it could be that .... if you select the heating to off on your programmer and then back on can you hear a small click when the little green light comes on ? As these can also be abit flakey

I have tried setting the thermostat to max but it still doesn't do anything and the dials work fine on the boiler

I don’t suppose you have any electrical test equipment? Sounds like it is just the thermostat.

Hi Sarah, when you turn the thermostat all the way up, does the green radiator light turn green at the boiler ?

If it doesn't , give the time clock a quick bang with your fist and see it it turns green then ?
