baxi duo-tec combi 40he - programmable room thermostat

Hi
central heating boiler came on whilst timer room thermo was set to off. Renewed batteries in room thermo. Seemed to sync tried it for a few mins seemed to work. Turned it to off.
After awhile came on again - seems that I cant turn the heating off - please advise

Take batteries out then if it doesn't.come on you know it's the stat
