Hello everyone, I have a BAXI Duo Tech 28 combi ErP boiler, controlled with a Google nest thermostat, but last weekend the heat link decided to die, I got a replacement from Google and wired it exactly as the other one was wired but that was faulty, anyway that's another story, in the meantime while I wait for another heat link from Google, I wanted to wire the original Siemens RCR10/433 back in so I can control the boiler, the problem I have is I have 4 wires , live = brown , neutral=blue , switched live = grey and then there's a black cable which is my problem, I have no idea where it has to go, I know where the other cables go I'm just not sure where the black one has to go , can someone please help as I'm having to use my boiler manually which in today's prices of gas and electricity is costing me a small fortune, thanks in advance for any advice.

It’ll be a common, so iirc on rcr will be Lx.

Yes. What terminal did it enter on the heat link?

Sorry, I should have explained it a bit better, it's already wired into the receiver, so I'm wiring it back into the boiler side, the black wire goes to L1 on the receiver which is , live feed to item to be controlled, so I'm thinking it has to be live ?? Thanks

Yes, so you’ll have a live out and live in/return at the boiler, if unsure post some photos

Thank you for your help CBW, I wired it in to the live out with the brown live and all working, so at least I can control the boiler now, well it will do the job until I get another heat link from Google, which is another story I won't bore you with, but put it this I'm not at all happy with Google!!!
