i have a noisy fan on my boiler i keep spraying o ring chain lube on the shaft where the little alan key is and it subsides until the oil runs dry can i replace the bearing in the fan unit rather that purchase a new 1 i believe the quality of the build is garbage and the replacement price is expensive for such a low quality looking unit

I always replace fan units rather than muck about repairing them, found lube is usually only a temp fix.

There is no way of replacing the bearings without having the whole unit stripped down and rebuilt which is going to cost you alot more than a new fan.

The build quality is fine on these fans and i have not had a problem with them in the past.

What price have you been quoted for the fan?

I replaced the bearings on my PF80 fan. It cost about £12 from a specialist bearing supplier. Just quote the number on the bearing casing. The job is a little fiddly but a whole lot cheaper than an new fan.

I suppose you've all forgotten the rules about encouraging DIY gas repairs, but of course where money is concerned those rules don't apply
