I have a baxi bermuda back boiler and am considering installing a combi.
Can I leave back boiler in place and just use the fire? I will of course be disconnecting bbu flow and return pipes etc from new combi cicuit. If it can be left in place can gas supply to back boiler be isolated leaving supply to fire on or is it a case of removing boiler thermocouple and/or electrics to boiler?

Yes the fire can be used if the use of the boiler is nolonger wanted, most of the fire fronts take a permanent live to the fire from the boiler supply so that will have to be addressed & the gas to the gas valve is best capped off.
