Hi,
I am replacing the concrete around my drains inspection cover (domestic 670mmx520mm) and find that the frame which supports the inspection lid needs to be 40mm above the final course of bricks. To me this seems rather an excessive bed of mortar (cement and yellow sand 1:4) for the frame to be bedded on. I did toy with the idea of trying to lay an extra 20mm course of ceramic material (tiles paving stone etc) upon the existing brickwork but the total lack of availability here in the NE put an end to that idea. Of course I could make a few moulds and manufacture my own but I am fast running out of time. I would certainly appreciate any advice from the more competent /knowledgeable posters of this forum
Thank you
Barry
