Beko Dishwasher Halfload

What does the "Halfload" button on a Beko Dishwasher do? Does it use less water, if so how does it get the half load clean? What are the advantages, if any, of pressing this button? Any advice is very welcome.

I know on my Hotpoint that it only uses the upper water spraying propeller thingy instead of both when set to half load, but check yours here...

They should give the data for litres used and for kWh used (that's units of electricity on your bill) for the various cycles.
