Hi I have a Beko side by side fridge freezer model ASL141w. I want to remove the two long handles on the front but just can't figure out how they come off. I read you have to hit them with a mallet upwards but this doesn't seem to be working, unless I'm not hitting it hard enough? Does anyone happen to know how they may come off. I'll try to post a picture of the fittings.

Thanks

Here's a picture of the fitting that's on the top and bottom of the handle. It just looks to me like it would pull out?

I am only guessing... I suspect that the handle sits over those plastic fittings and that there are bolts that run from the reverse side of the stainless steel skin into the handles (through the plastic fittings). If so, you will need to remove the outer skin first.

Thanks for the reply

The handle fits onto the side facing away from you on the picture. So the two curved tabs facing towards you are what clip into the door somehow.
But I think you may be right that it's screwed from the inside.

If those are the appropriate fittings for your fridge, then that supports the mallet approach.
Here is a still from a Beko video on removing handles - it shows the same style of clips in use...

And the video...
