Beko Fridgefreezer (CXF5104W )

Hi,

I have a Beko Fridgefreezer model number CXF5104W.

Recently I have noticed water in defrost water collection channel, the water isn't draining down the hole, it's just spelling over into the crisper.

I've poked the drain hole with the plastic poker provided.

I've had a look in the back and the water collection tray is empty, I have never needed to empty it.

The fridge has an auto defrost function but I've never had this problem before.

I've turned the setting up from 2 to 4 and it's made no difference.

The contents of the fridge and freezer are still cold.

Is it the end of the line for the fridge freezer or an easy fix?

most likely it will be a pea or something blocking the pipe. Perhaps concealed blood from meat, or sticky mess from sugary drink or juice . Sometimes they get mould and fungus round the back in the dish.

The gutter probably fits into the pipe with a little spigot, you may be able to pull it off and give it a clean, verify it is correctly fitted and the pipe is not squashed. Try not to use wire as you might puncture the drain tube. I don't know if you could blow up it from the other end.

The collection dish is warmed by the motor, so usually evaporates off. It may be very dirty.

Get a fruit shoot bottle fill it with hot water then squirt it down the hole. The reason why is the bottle is easy to handle and squeeze hot water melts and ice in there and the blast of water will clear and food waste in there and the bottle is enough not to overspill on the tray at the back.

I connected loads of straws together and blow a few mouth fills of hot water down the hole, it done the trick.
