We had the consumer unit trip out our Beko induction hob the other day when virtually every appliance in the kitchen was on the go at the same time. Its a black 4 hob jobby with and on/off switch and up/down arrows for each hob. Not sure of the model number but at the entry level end of the induction hob world.
When I turned it back on the two hobs on the left hand side are not responding and just display an E, then a 1, then go to 0. (which is the normal starting point) but when I select one of the dodgy hobs and press the arrow to up the power, nowt happens. They just don't operate. But the two on the other side are fine.
Clearly a power surge has knocked something out. My question is, is this a known fault, can it be rectified with a new part in a DIY stylie, do I need a specialist beko/induction appliance engineer. Is it worth any of the above bearing in mind I can probably pick up a replacement off ebay for about £100 and save any parts/call out/labour.
Thanks for any advice!
