hiya can anyone help the washer is filling up with water and emptying, but doing little else,its not completing programs, have emptied filter, there was some strange bits of metal in not sure if they are part of washer or something thats ended up in there

belt goes round drum right?where are the others?

The belt goes between the motor & drum pulley, take off the cover at the back of the machine to inspect it. The motor has 2 carbon brushes that wear according to use/age. When worn down too far they have to be replaced. Take a peek on youtube, there are plenty of video examples on how to change washer motor brushes/belts.
