Morning all,

Hope you’re all good.

I require some assistance with wiring the bell 801 system. I replaced it like for like, as wanted a fresh phone as redecorating, but the dummy I am, I didn’t take a photo of the previous wiring.

I have managed to get the bell sound working when someone pushes the buzzer downstairs, but cant unlock or hear anything.

I hope someone can assist.

Thanks, Greg

You will have to identify what each of the wires is used for. Unfortunately installers don't use the same colours, but you should be able to identify them by what they are connected to at their other end.

I= 'Call' this is the incoming 12v signal from the pushbutton [Appears that this one is connected ok]

R= 'Speech out' this connects to R on the door panel

O='Common connection' connects to O on the door panel

T='Speech in' connects to T on the door panel

Z='Door release' to operate door lock

EDIT
Here's a diagram. [Unusual that the power supply output is marked 12 VAC but by the time it gets to the door panel speech unit it's 12 DC (+ /-) I guess they have omitted to show the rectification, anyway but that won't effect what you are trying to do]
