I have a Belling XOU177SS built in oven. During the weekend, whilst in use, there was a flash, and the no further heat.
The hob (separate, but same power supply) still works, and there is also power to the oven as the internal light and fan still work.
However, none of the heat settings are working - and I've checked all the settings - grill only, bottom element heating and the fan oven.
Looking more closely, the thermostat (well, I think that is what I can see) was hanging loose from one of it's two clips, and was touching the grill element. This I have clipped back into place, but still no heat.
I can't believe all of the elements have blown(!), so am guessing the thermostat has been destroyed - unless there is a hidden, built in fuse that has blown.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Oh, thanks for moving to the correct forum - just spotted that myself!
