I'm trying to bench-test a seven-year old Grant Vortex burner unit.
I have disconnected the oil supply. The pump and burner motor are working but I'm not getting a spark. The electrode assembly is new and settings OK. I've covered the photocell when trying to start the unit. The solenoid is new.
I would have thought that I should be getting a spark even although the oil supply has been cut off?
Any thoughts?
