30 shouldn't be too difficult with a spring, insert the spring at the required position and bend it over your leg. I take it you have the correct spring? Heavy and light duty conduits use different springs.

I find warming up the conduit by rubbing a cloth in the area you're going to bend gives yields good results.
PVC conduit is an absolute doddle, god help you with metal!

Make sure you warm up the outside of the bend quite a lot more than the inside, a heat-gun I find works well, if you warmup the inside it can kink a little.

I doubt you could warm the inside up much anyway as you've got a metal spring acting as a heat sink.

Ahh, I didn't mean the inside of the conduit, I meant the inside of the bend.

Please pardon my grammar.

Steel Conduit is more forgiving

when making the bend go slightly more than needed as it will try opening itself back out and once the spring is removed youll not get it back in so easily ;) and dont bend too tightly, youll kink the spring, if you can, keep the conduit indoors at room temperature for a while before use, as when cold, it can be brittle. Or in winter warm the tube up near a brazier before attempting to bend it.

For steel conduit, I ditch the heat gun and place the area to be bent into my porta-furnace, then insert the bending spring, and bend the conduit over my knee. ;)

Is the next photo "Simon receiving emergency medical treatment for 3rd degree burns to his knee"?
