I have finished end panels for some kitchen units that i need trim
I have seen the advice to not use a jigsaw so i will dig out my B&D circular

Can anyone confirm the number of teeth on a new blade that would give a nice smooth finish please ?
The panels are approx 18mm thick

Can't help teeth wise but cover the area with tape and have the saw cut down onto the surface that will be seen (some people clamp scrap wood either side)

As many teeth as possible!

Then, set your blade depth to 1mm and run the saw backwards over the cut. Then set the blade to the proper depth (i.e. 20mm) and cut through forwards normally. It will probably still chip slightly where the blade exits at the rear of the board, so do some test cuts on the board before cutting to the final width/length and plan ahead for where this will be best hidden.
