Hi,

Have a nick to the end-grain of a belfast sink cutout - a 4mm deep full height router bit incursion.
Oak worktop, currently unfinished and will be finished with danish oil.

I'm looking for a filler that will be robust enough for the edge of the sink but will still take the oil - I have a concern that a 2-part will not change colour with the oil?

Any ideas or experiences?

Thanks.

Colour matched wax , will not require oil.[Oil top first]
Danish oil is ok but Osmo top oil longer lasting.

Thanks foxhole.
Do you think wax would work to fill this. It's a 1/2" router cutter overshoot.
A picture speaks a thousand words:

i personally would try and loose the damaged edge and move the sink 2mm to centralize as i suspect any repair could cause untold problems

I cut back, glued in an off-cut and re-routed.
The glue line matches with the staves.
Pretty happy with the outcome.
Thanks for your help.
