Hi,

We live in a five year old new build house. There are some cracks that have been present since day one, and some that have appeared over time.

I've got a week off work, so I finally want to get off my bum and sort them out. I was hoping someone could let me know the best type and brand of filler for these areas and the prep to do as I want to get it right.

1) There's some kind of trim between the stairs and the walls that has gaps underneath at various places along the length.

2) Gaps between the skirting and tiled floor in various places

3) Gaps around window frames

4) Cracks in window internal corners.

I've attached some photos that I hope help make sense.

Thanks!

Decorator's caulk usually solves most of these problems.

Make sure you get caulk, and not some other sealant, because it needs to be paintable.
