I have read a few posts on here, we are doing a major house renovation and cannot decide on our flat roof. What would you put on your flat roof and why? Would you recommend fibreglass? We are based in Birmingham
Fibreglass is being pushed because it is relatively easy to do and is being touted by many merchants in the way of training seminars etc. The same with Firestone rubber etc. We always opt for 3 ply felt or the tough mineral torch on systems because my flat roofer is brilliant.
Fibreglass requires good weather conditions in order to achieve a successful job. Many complain that it is noisy during heavy rain. It must be deafening during hail!
