Looking for advice on Masonry paint for a more extreme environment?
My Wife and I recently bought a property on Skye in the Scottish islands. It's an 1800's Rendered stone walled cottage in excellent order but we are looking at refreshing the exterior paintwork this year.
The main issue is that being a sea-Loch fronted building it is subject to salt laden weather, often wet for longer periods, and often subject to very high winds. Other more exposed parts of Skye can get 100mph winds at times!
It's not subject to much at all of sub-zero temps though, being very temperate even during deep winter.
Whilst it's an easy enough job to do being only a small building and quite low height overall, I'm keen to use a very high performing paint to keep it protected as best as possible. Cost of paint is not really an issue.
Any recommendations on what might be the best choice in White?
