What`s best replacement for gardtec 593 ?

a power cut has recently blown the system up no power showing on it. after changing the battery as an error was showing it still says power cut as the error and no green light showing.

It may be best to cut my losses and replace it as it was already in the house no idea when it was installed.

was hoping to replace it with another wired system as may as well use the wires already there and replace everything else. not looking forward to the bell boxes up ladders etc.

what is best the best replacement for the 593 was hoping i could get alerts on my phone from the system too, but without subscription fees ?

Texecom don't charge currently for app notifications
Orisec don't charge currently for app notifications
Risco, Pyronix, Scantronic do charge

Galaxyguy does self mon which is cheap but not free

yes something simple to install and reliable that can use the same wiring setup.

a mix of wireless to expand it and wired capability would be nice and app notifications.

6x pir
3x door contacts all wired currently

maybe some wireless pir on the garage room by back door.

not many 1 or 2

All these extras are going to cost you …. To add wireless to any panel your looking at £100 extra on top of any panel ….any comms option is going to be extra £50-£100 again on top

Any way sounds like the mains input fuse is blown to the 593

maybe a gsm or wired phone option maybe be cheaper. for alerts

PSTN switch off 2025 so diallers will not work.
GSM - security sim card approx £40 per yrs plus price is GSM Unit approx £140

These are insurance graded products that cost vast amounts to meet these standards…. One thing that people don’t understand !

could i just use a texecom veritas as a replacement system and keep all the pir`s and sounders ?

Think that is a step backwards ! Either look for a replacement 593 pcb on eBay or if your going to replace the control panel fit a premier 24 …you can set the resistor value for gardtec if your panel Is wired EOL
