Hello to you all. I just wanted to ask if anybody knew what is the cheapest way to clean the central heating system. I have a biasi combi boiler and it is noisy so i need to clean out the grime and sludge in the system so the boiler is operating with little noise.
I have had boiler guys coming out to service my boiler. I have had it serviced regularly but with a service you only get the engineer cleaning the boiler with a hoover, checking the flame and thats just about it. He does not touch the radiators or clean the system. All boiler engineers are interested in is a power flush so they can make £400 out of you. If i was to pay £400 i rather pay that to put a brand new combi in.
So what is the cheapest method? I hear you can do a manual flush with some sentinel products, leave them in the system and they will clean everything out, even the heat exchanger. I was recommended sentinel x800, but i dont know if this will do the trick. Any help will be appreciated.
