Hiya! My first post- been a reader for years with some great advice Taken.

I've opened up kitchen / dining room to find concrete floors at different levels.

I need to raise kitchen end approx 60mm. I wanted to install a kitchen in 4 /5 weeks time.

The current co Crete floor is sound.

can I put down 25mm insulation boards, then cover with sand / cement and strengthening additive? The area is approx 3x5m

What will your finished flooring material be in the kitchen?

In the kitchen can you see the upstands of a DPM at the concrete edges?

Is the kitchen footprint completely bare of units and appliances?

If you put down 25 insulation, your screed will only be 35 thick and will crack; the recommended minimum thickness of a screed is 65.
If the floor is sound and dry, why not use timber battens and chipboard or plywood?
