Bi-Fold Door Info Please

My daughter wants a bi-fold door fitting at her house.
Opening is 762mm x 1981mm and the bi-fold door for this ina well known Diy store if 750mm x 1946mm.

Is this correct, seems like there's going to be a rather large gap somewhere, even allowing for the fixings ??

The doors need to be that size otherwise the corners catch on the door lining as you open them.

does that mean that there is a visible gap at the top of the door viewed from what I would call the outer side of the door?

No, as there is a frame to go with it.

There are no door stops so you get a gap at each side approx 8-10mm. there is a track that fits at the top and there is a gap between the track and the top of the door. And also the usual small gap at teh bottom of the door.

Take a look at the fitting instructions for this similar bifold track, it shows the gaps needed
