Hi all

I currently have 2 sets of bifold doors being replaced in my kitchen/dining room. One of the doors has trickle vents, but the fitters have told me that measurements of the other door were way too tight so they can't include the trickle vents on the other door. Is this a problem? I did a quick google and read it goes against building regulations? What sort of issues could this cause? Could it be an issue when selling the house in the future? Thanks

Having zero vents, does not necessarily go against BR, no. Trickle vents in frames are just a convenient way of satisfying B'reg's 'background ventilation' criteria. You can achieve the same passive ventilation elsewhere via airbricks etc. It makes sense to fit them into new frames or sashes though.
