biasi 24s

ok i have a biasi 24s combi. c/h was running, turned hot water on, boiler switched over........... then off. red light stayed off,green stayed on.
then would not restart,rads/water pressure ok.
but the fan is not running. combi refusing to ignite the unit seems to be trying to go thru the motions but..........
any help/input would be appreciated.

Is the pump running? Don`t take it for granted on these machines, open the bleed screw and look.

yes pump running free and good even took it off to double check it.

On the left hand side is the diverter valve, clipped onto this is the microswitch in a plastic casing.Is the push rod coming out of diverter and activating the switch?

it switches on with hot water tap /or c/h yes it clicks with either

If it`s clicking the microswith you more than likely have a supply problem to the fan. Is there voltage to it? A multi-meter is the correct way of determing this. A neon will not suffice. If there`s voltage, check back at the right hand p.c.b where the fan is connected, and work back to the jump over connections from the left hand p.c.b until you find a dead connection. Does the fan turn freely if you spin it by hand?

fan is free theres no power to it. is it from the pcb it gets the signal for power(or recieves) or is the power there ready and waiting for the signal?
there is a break in the pcb at right hand side which appears to be from the summer/winter setting is this relevent?

Have you checked the overheat thermostat hasn't popped out?

Next to the red lockout light there is a cap with a slot. Remove the cap and press in the red button.

Even if it hasn't popped out try pressing it in - they can be unreliable.

tried that then removed wires from pcb friend said ok put wires back on they can corrode slightly and get no power thru them.(biasi can be tempramental bloody things his words).
bang we are up and running.
