Hello, i have a biasi 24s combi boiler, it is working finr for both hot water and central heating, however i have a small leak that appears when i turn the hot water tap off, i have looked at the manual and it says its the diverter valve. I have attached these 2 pics to help, it is not leaking from the large part of the valve but the small part in the middle as shown by the arrows. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be fixed?
Thank you in advance

Does the system pressure drop? If so it may indicate the leak is on the system side of the diverter valve.

To confirm, isolate the cold feed to the boiler, remove the retaining clips and disconnect the two small pipes at the back, loosen the two screws and pull out the left hand circular brass lump. Either the gland seal in this part or the corresponding gland in the main diverter body will be leaking.

There are 2 spindles in there. You will find the small o rings are perished (probably on the rh side which is the ch side). Should be able to get a service kit for that (drain down required). I think Halstead boilers use the same diverter valve so try them if unable to get it from Biasi.

Thank you both for your replies, i know im being awkward but could you give me a step by step guideline to how i check both these things? I'd like to get it all straight in my head before i start taking apart the boiler

You have not answered the question about the system pressure dropping.

If its NOT dropping then the fault is the pin seal on the hydraulic unit and the water leaking is mains water.

The tiny seal has to be replaced but its essential to ensure the pin shaft is totally clean before reassembly and the pin is lubricated with silicone grease.

Biasi can supply the seal but you are better going to a local parts supplier otherwise you may end up paying a lot of carriage for a small part.

Thank you for the reply agile, sorry for not getting back to you sooner but it has been absolutely mental around here. I know im being awkward now but would you be able to give me a step by step walk through of how to disassemble the valve and clean the pin and seal and also what part am i asking for at the local dealers? Once again i appreciate your help.
Thank you
