Hi,

I have a sporadic issue with my Biasi boiler which started around 3 weeks ago, it has only happened 5 times in the last 3 weeks and the heating is on roughly 6 hours a day.

What happens is that whilst the heating is on the boiler acts as if it is about to ignite to bring the water back up to temp, it makes the usual whirring noise, but then there is no click and no ignition. This usually happens when the heating has been on for a while. Use of hot water does not appear to trigger it.

It will continue like this until it it switched off. Once switched back on it will run fine again.

I have uploaded a video from this morning of it doing it, the sound is very quiet

I have had an engineer out to look at it but they could find now fault, the boiler ran perfectly during their visit.

I`m guessing the quickly flashing green light on the front is a clue as it usually flashes half that speed.

Any ideas?

There could be many different causes.

A failing to operate pump proving switch is often the cause.
