It has come to my attention that Biasi UK may well ? be asking for a £95 deposit from customers before they will attend an in-warranty call out to there boilers ? apparently this deposit is refundable if the in-warranty fault is not down to installation ?? ;) |f this is the case??

I wonder how many £95 deposits are or will get refunded ?? perhaps Biasi UK have a policy of finding something anything wrong & if they do not they may well be disapointed ? maybe , perhaps ?? ;)

yes its been put on here before, can't say i blame them as it stops all the timewasters who think there is something wrong with their boiler because they can't operate it!
if its a genuine call then the customer gets a refund - simple
there are a lot of ****e installers out there who don't do the job properly and they give us that do a good job a bad name as we have to charge accordingly.

Dont fit Biasi's, now that sounds a little bit of a scam, its not hard to go and find something wrong with aomeones install someone can always pick something, its easy, but wrong to do realy, unless its an absaloute abortion

Installers that recommend Biasi, are suspect at least. On the other hand, I suppose that those who recommend them do so after being asked for a “competitive quote because I am a bit skint and I can't really afford it at the moment.” Thus they get a cheap boiler and an installation that is a race against the clock.

Biasi have probably realised what kind of installers buy their boiler, and refuse to pay their engineers to waste their time on what is effectively the installer's fault.

Biasi, Ideal, WB i-series, if I come across one in ten that is installed ok-ish, I'm lucky.

I think that its a very good idea!

It puts the onus on the installer to do his job properly.

Those who dont bother to clean the system will soon get a reputation in their local area when it gets around that their customers have to pay £95 to be told there is dirt in their system and it does not even cover cleaning out the dirt.

Biasi boilers are no longer "cheap" boilers. The heatline, Glow Worm and Ferroli cheap models are all much less money than Biasi now. But they are very reliable boilers if they are properly fitted on a clean system.

I agree Tony they're good boilers, in fact i'd fit one before a Worchester Tupperware Bosch any day.

All this maybe very well , but than again Biasi UK do not repair intermitent faults on there appliances , you will have to tell your customer to contact us directly when the fault becomes permanent !( quote)

Service agents down here have even measured the height of the room stat off the floor !! :) be interested to know how much the service agents are payed for an in-warranty call out's say a 30 mile round trip anyone know (Agile maybe)

perhaps Biasi UK should make this £95 fee known at point of sale ?? puts the onus on the service agent to find a fault ? ;)

Installation faults ,Biasi Uk , £95 ;) ;) ;) :)

Products I have used am quite happy , Biasi UK company , sheisters , maybe ???

2 tape measures ?? is one supplied by Biasi UK ?? :)

time will tell how it works. you can see why they do it.
there's already a member in the cc who's customer has lost the £95 and he's still trying to find out why asfaik. If a few more cases come about where they've taken the £95 and its not obvious why then it will only be a matter of time before they're name becomes mud.
Only thing is though, surely this information should be on their website or available in some form before purchase, else I can't see how legally they can do it personally. i think if you refused to pay and threatened with trading standards they would probably come out.

No doubt they probably would, but then they would probably just blame it on the installation again.

All this info on here has certainly put me off ever considering any contact with Biasi in any form

Regarding the Biasis, great boilers, tight company. If they don't start being more charitable to gas safe registered installers they will come a cropper now we are voluble on the internet. Our experiences do influence one another and the public. Give us a good experience Biasi!
