A length of cable has just caught my eye as being a bit odd having a silver coloured centre. A test with a flame has it quickly melting suggesting copper covered aluminium. The sheath is stamped copper clad. There is no size marked on it, the live conductors are 7 strand, the CPC single strand solid copper.
It's horrible cable and the conductors snap after a few bends. Does anyone have any information or know when this cable was around and how long for? I've not come across it before. BICC seemed to make a huge range of different cables, I have some 2.5mm 3core and earth of theirs here too.
