Hi
I have a ceiling that has been water damaged. I was thinking of taking down but then I thought I could just plaster board over. The problem is it has some very large and ugly coving that not only goes around the room but about three inches in there is another large trim. The ceiling rose is also ugly having been painted over so many times it just looks like a round blob.
Can I chip off all the coving and ceiling rose and then plaster board, or is it best just to take the whole lot down?
