Bike tyres

anyone know which way to put them on?

The tread has an arrow head shape, so do you put the tyre on so the arrow shape is on top of the wheel heading to the floor, or so the arrow head is pointing forward at the point the tyre is touching the road?

Yes particularly motorbike tyres, if you fit them the wrong way the tyre life will be reduced and the road holding capabilities will be diminished.

Having said that, some bright spark many moons ago, put a Dunlop TT100 front tyre on the rear but as you're accelerating and not breaking he reversed the direction of travel, and according to folklore the rest is history.

Off my head, I mean off the top of my head  I don't know, but as I said before "Muphrys Law" applies.

lol.... if tomorrow I'm cycling backwards, and my pedals fall off, I'm blaming you Pred !!

Only use your thumbs (what god provided you with) to put your tyres on.

If they are made by Schwalbe with carbon fibre puncture resistance they are brill. Been using them for 3 months - no punctures.

I can cycle backwards (sitting on handlebars pedalling backwards.). . dont know why i bothered to learn how to do that . . bored one week I guess.. still its not something many people can do at all...try it yourself. Dont forget a big box of plasters
