We have an existing mid-brown Tasmanian Oak wardrobe which doesn't match the rest of the furniture and we would like to change it to a black/brown finish.
We also plan to add mirrors to the existing inset on the outside of the doors so only 10cm around the edge of the door will be visible.
Would progressive coats of a black (+brown?) varnish be the best way to go and how would you apply it?
Rub down doors with fine sandpaper and:
a) use a roller to apply the varnish in situ
b) remove all the doors and trim where possible and have it sprayed off site
If option b - who would I look for to do the job?
Brown finish (current)
Black finish
