Hello,

Pretty newbie on gardening so thought I will be back on here to ask for your expert advice.

I got some blackcurrant cuttings with some roots.

I would like to plant them in large pot - Do you think that would be Ok or is it best to plant them in proper garden?

I have 3 cuttings, Can I put the 3 of them in that pot in the picture? or do I need to put one cutting per pot?

Should I put a mixture of soil + Compost? or else?

They will be fine in a pot.

Put all three in the one pot for now. This will do them this season.

Once they establish you will need to repot them every couple of years anyway.

Plant them in a mix of 2 soil 1 grit and 2 rotted manure

When you mentioned rotted manure.
Would that be shop bought one or some from horse manure from a farm yard?

you can get it in bags from a garden centre or may be able to get it from a local farmer or similar.

It needs to be rotted though, fresh manure is no good. i.e it shouldn't have much smell at all and be crawling with worms.
