Hi all,
Would appreciate any tips, tricks etc. to get this Blanco Oxi 9001 tap apart! It's leaking from the body so we need to inspect the o-rings & cartridge.
The handle comes off fine but we're having issues getting the 'chrome dome' off which presumably covers a locking nut or holds the cartridge in place itself (photo below). We were expecting this to unscrew counter clockwise & only be hand tight but we've even had a strap wrench & water pump pliers on there (hence the scuff marks) and it won't budge.
Blanco have confirmed this should just un-screw and have suggested the threads are limed-up and to try some WD-40. Strongest limescale known to man if it's withstanding a hefty pair of pliers! (already tried the WD-40 too).
Please help our sanity, otherwise the angle grinder is coming out!
