Why is it one radiator wants bleeding every 2-3 months? It's upstairs, on the same level as 10 others which never run dry.

Get into the loft and see what happens inside the header tank (black water filled tub about 18 inches square) when the system is running. All that should be happening is the water level should rise very slowly as the water expands when the C. heating is turned on.

Collect some of the gas that comes out of the radiator when you next bleed it in a test tube (raid son's chemistry set). If the gas pops when you try to light it then its Hydrogen. This is produced when your system corrodes. This can be prevented by adding inhibitor.
