can anyone tell me what area a pallet of block paving will cover
or how i work out how many i need.

Exactly 1.2 sqm. Or more if you take the blocks off it and spread them around a bit. :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

It all depends on if they are clay or concrete pavers you are asking about?. You get less pavers per pallet wthe cheap 50mm concretes than other brands.
 
If one layer covers 1.2 sqm, then how much will x number of layers cover, where x is the number of layers on the pallet. How many of these will fit into the area you need to cover, dont forget to add a few for breaks and cuts. If you need 20 units to cover the area and there are 10 units on the pallet then you will need 2 pallets + some extras, how many extras depends upon the shape of the area you are trying to fill and how good you are at cutting them.
 
easiest way is to ask the supplier. all you need to know is the area you want to cover allow 5 - 10% for waste dependent on how you want to lay them and how used to laying them you are and tell the supplier that. They will work it out for you as there are quite a few variations dependent on the block you chose
