Hi all,
After some advice.
We are building a Timber frame house and facing the outside with blocks which will be rendered with the Monocouche XF system. The blocks themselves are not load bearing. We are getting some conflicting messages in regards to the type of block we should use.
The manufacturer is recommending a belt and braces approach and to use 7 Newton Heavies.
The builder would obviously prefer to use lightweights (either 7 or 3.6 Newton) as they are easier to handle. Architect and Building Inspector do not mind or have no opinion.
The manufacturers website states the later can be used with a Mesh systems (and the manufacturer has even stated to use this with the heavies even though it isn't really needed).
Wondered what peoples thoughts are on here. Thanks
