I have a central heating system that uses copper from the boiler to the hot tank, pump etc and a manifold that distributes an input and output to each radiator via small bore plastic piping (Hep?).
having problems with some cool and one cold radiator. On investigation traced the problem to the plastic pipework input to the cold rad. This is completely blocked with sludge that we cant budge. Tried to use flexible rods to push through but can only get as afar as about 20cm from both top and bottom before it is solid (this is an approx 5m run between the valve and the manifold).
Any suggestions to loosen and remove the blockage other than complete renewal of the pipe which will involve lifting flooring panels and knocking through plaster work.
