Hi
Question: How do I go about blocking up my flue with EPS balls?
Background: Standard, 1950s, semi-D, with four chimneys (2 up, 2 down). Upstairs ope blocked years ago. I’ve read that you should block the bottom of the flue with a piece of wood, send EPS balls down the flue, and then block the chimney with a cap that allows ventilation.
I know the problem is condensation; and that I could also put a few holes at the top of the flues in the attic.
Appreciate any advice and insights. Just a bit nervous to do it. Thanks all.
