Blooming Google Tabs!!!!

Using the latest version of Mozilla and whenever I open this browser I keep getting Google search tabs appearing.

At present I have DIYNOT tab, 3 Google search tabs and chrome google toolbar.

I have tried blocking google cookies but that has not helped.

Anyone else had this?

No I have 8 search engines which I can select in special window which has Google as default but it does not have any tab for it. There are two auto bookmarks Most Visited and Latest Headlines the rest I have set up.
Of late it seems to have been updating daily and at one point my spell check stopped working but all seems to be working again now.

Nearly 30 yrs without smoking!

UPDATE

I managed to suss out the problem............when you set your internet home page make sure you do not have any search tabs open or they will always open when you open your browser!
