blow lamp for for diy

I am buying a blow lamp for my son He is pretty handy , plumbing and car mechanics were some heat might be needed
Could you suggest any I dont know what gas to use propane or whatever thank you

I have a Rothenburger blow torch. I use the yellow Mapp has for heating up seized bolts on cars and the blue propane gas for plumbing jobs although the yellow gas is okay for both as long as you go careful with it. Yellow is hotter.
