The flames of my gas hob all have orange flashes today. It this something that required action? The only other gas appliance is the boiler but there is no viewing window for the flame.
I've got 3 carbon monoxide detectors which haven't alerted (2 are mains powered) and thought an oxygen starved flame was more consistently orange. Should I call SGN, a gas safe engineer or do nothing? Thanks all.

You have airborne dust or other pollutants that are effecting the flame
The flame picture is correct in that there is no lift off the burner, nor is it a floppy flame like a candle.
Take it there is no soot
Did you use some kind of spray or used condiments near the hob when it started to behave like that

if you tsp the burner, flame will go yellow. Will be due to dust being disturbed

It's just rust particles on the black burner caps burning off...give them a tap and the whole flame will go orange.
