Hi guys,

I am building a wardrobe out of MDF and the doors will overlap the frame (2 doors that meet in the middle)

I can't work out which Blum hinges and backplate i need? There are to many choices for backplates, and the terminology is difficult to workout (Cruciform Cam??!) My requirements are;

- Want maximum adjust possible in all direction
- Not bothered what the hinges look like from the inside or the size of them
- Would prefer screw in ones rather then drill a hole and hope it clips in.
- Would like blumotion easyfit if possible
- As mentioned, the door will sit on the frame - kitchen cupb style

I am thinking of buying them from here;

Any advice much apprieciated.

PS i built something similar last year using ikea hinges (cheap blums) which was ok ish but would like to do better this time!

Cam adjustable mounting plate Ref 173H710N

Blumotion which clips onto the hinge Ref 973A0500

Thanks Jason,

Just out of interest what is the difference between clip and clip top??

Cliptop are easier to adjust the door away/towards the cabinet, just turn a screw where clip you have to loosen a screw, move hinge and retighten.

Tops also have a slightly more secure fixing to the base plate and you can use a straight plate that gives a cleaner look than the cruciform ones

I tend to use cliptops as the adjustment screw speeds things up but if its just an occasional DIY job there is not much point, infact you could go without the cam backplates if you want (173L610) are the plain ones.
