BMW Owners

A bit 'tarring all with the same brush' but I'm not easily offended

So you think there is always a degree of truth in bigotry and prejudice?

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not nor ever have been a BMW driver, nor have any of my family - I just can't stand lazy (non-)thinking.

Not certain about that, but there is an old saying .. 'no smoke without fire'

'Oh & by the way, despite being a BMW driver my 60 year clean driving record bears testament that I don't fit the stereotype.

Aren't Audi drivers the new BMW drivers.

There are a hell of a lot of shoite drivers out there nowadays.
Probably a mix of ineptitude and entitlement.

Everyone should be forgiven the occasional mistake (providing nothing bad comes of it), but the ones that really grate on me are the ones who just hurl abuse even though it is them who are in the wrong.

The BMW's I see on the road tend to either have the model designation removed and/or a personalised number plate, maybe to hide the fact that they're driving a ten year 316 diesel. Fair enough if you want a status symbol, but the most accident prone drivers seem to be grouped by age more than by the make of vehicle driven.

Nice goalpost moving there (y)

I was specifically commenting on a specific joke (meme, if you prefer).

I didn't move any goalposts - just started to follow the inexorable logic of your belief.

People have been expressing bigotry and prejudice against other people because of their race, skin colour, place of birth, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc for a long time.

And sometimes using jokes or memes as vehicles.

And yet

Wouldn't have stood the test of time though, if there wasn't a degree of truth in it ;)

BMW drivers are not, of course, a protected group, but that video was just as much lazy, thinking-averse, stereotyping as any other expression of any other bigotry or prejudice.

Given the lack of use of indicators these days I don’t think this issue is confined to BMW drivers

The Audi driver I encountered this morning

No seat belt
Texting while driving
Jumped a red light
