Where's he gone? His avatar has disappeared, his name has turned black and there's no info about him. What's happened?

Generally, yes, unless they’ve been banned iirc. Inactivity stops for around 3 days (this is when you ask account to be deleted).
It does seem strange and hope he’s ok too, he’s helped me out previously.

No. Not that. I changed my name from Motman to Mottie when I stopped doing MOT's. Nothing else changes - join date messages, thanks etc.

Because motman is now mottie and all posts under motman have changed to mottie. If you carry out a search for motman, it does return results, but responses are made by Mottie instead of motman.
I don’t think it’s anything to do with gdpr, because no personal data or information is being breached.

We wouldn't reveal any name change unless it was public.

I just find it strange he left on his birthday. Perhaps it was his present to himself.
Anyway, I'm going to miss him and I won't be able to wind him up when my 'what have you been doing today' thread overtakes his world beating 'quiz' thread!
